Tree Trimming
It depends on whether you have flowering shrubs or non-flowering shrubs. If you have shrubs that flower, you must trim and prune them just after the blooming season. That will give enough time for the shrub to be ready for the next bloom. Otherwise, the best time to prune the overgrown shrubs would be late winter or early spring- March or early April. It would be best if you avoided any trimming in late summer- August or early September. This will not prepare the shrub for the winters, and they will get damaged.
